what about, LDR?

it's hard enough to make local relationship work, but havin miles, states, and sometimes even an ocean between u makes it even more difficult. however, successful long distance relationships can and do exist. it will survive as long as u are willing to work it out. here's how to give yours every chance to survive and thrive.

- ask the important questions at the onset, to make sure u are both clear on the
parameters of the relationship.
- do things together. defy the distance.
- communicate in some way every day, more than once if possible.
- take advantage of the benefits a long distance relationship offers.
- pursue common interests, even if it means pursuing them apart.
- avoid the temptation to be controlling.
- talk about your future together.
- remember: things will get better.
- visit often.
- avoid jealousy and be trusting.
- be positive.
- give them a personal object of yours so in a time of need, where they miss u, they are
able to hold on to something that once belonged to u.
- long distance dating is all about a balanced relationship between partners; a
relationship built on strong foundations of trust, understanding and determination
to make it work.
- create your own set of relationship standards that both of u have mutually agreed upon.

good luck!

though miles lie between us,
we're never far apart,
love doesn't count the miles,
it's measured by the heart.
